There is absolutely no excuse for this post being so late! We had a great summer and did so much. We enjoyed all the time we had with our little lady! Speaking of LB, she is now ONE! We cannot believe how time fly by. She is walking, talking, and has 6 teeth coming in. She daily amazes her mom and dad with her new skills. LB is such a funny little girl and enjoys making us laugh! I have been in school for about a month already. I have 24 third graders this year! It makes a very full and usually loud classroom. It is a good bunch of kids and I look forward to a good year with them. LB is at day care at my school again this year. We are so blessed to have a nice woman who loves watching LB. Ryan continues to be busy at work...still enjoying what he does. Hunting season has begun...he has been out bow hunting a few times, goose hunting a few times, and today was opening duck season. He has gotten a few geese and this morning he apparently got some wood ducks. He is looking forward to a successful season...me too since our freezer is empty! We are enjoying the fall even though it has been super warm! The leaves are beginning to change colors and the nights are getting cooler. I love the fall!

Happy 4th of July...just a little late! :) We had Dan visiting us from MN for the weekend. We got a babysitter and headed downtown for some sushi and drinks. We had a great time! On the 4th, we traveled to Camp LuWiSoMo to visit Grandmeee and Grandpa who were camping there. We spent the afternoon at the beach. LB still wasn't too sure about the freezing water, so we spent some quality time on the beach blanket. She had a great time looking at the sand and the bugs. :P On Sunday before Dan left, we all went up to the NEW Zoo in Green Bay. I'm not too sure how LB liked it. She screamed at the goats...not a good scream~but loved watching the aramadillo run around in its cage. Did you know that they run pretty fast? It was entertaining! It was great to have Dan here and sad to see him go. Hopefully, we'll get a chance to see him at the end of July in MN. We have been keeping busy...Ryan is so very busy at work and is currently on a work trip. He comes home tomorrow and I am very excited. LB and I have enjoyed some quality time this summer...I can't believe that it is going to come to an end very quickly! Tonight my sister and I are heading to Lifest to see the band Kutless in concert...so excited. LB is going to be under the watchful eye of her Uncle Matt. :) Enjoy the pictures from the past weekend.

LB is really into making this face right now. We just have to laugh at our silly little girl. We not quite sure why she makes such a face...maybe determination or that she's just being silly. LB loves the reaction she gets when she makes it though. :)

School's out for summer!!! I had my last day yesterday. It was bittersweet as always, but I am very much looking forward to the summer. I am in process of moving into a new classroom...boy, I have accumulated a lot of stuff in the 4 years at New Hope. Today, I threw out 3 garbage bags full! I am hoping to finish up the move quickly, but we'll see how it goes. :) I have many plans for organizing our home this summer too. It all depends on how productive I am during LB's naps.
LB is now 9 months old. She weighs 17.6 pounds and is 26 inches long...still a very petite little lady, but is a mover. She crawls very quickly and now loves to walk around the furniture. She likes to push things from one end of the room to the other. LB has also begun to remove both hands from the furniture (or let go of mommy and daddy's hands) to see if she can do it herself. This always makes me nervous...she has many bruises on her forehead from her tumbles. She has become quite the independent little lady. We are enjoying her silly personality and the many faces she makes. Ryan and I have nicknamed her the "Drama Queen". Like most little girls, she is very good at making us know when something is not going her way. We just have to laugh that this is learned at such a young age. :P We cannot believe that she is already 9 months...so close to being ONE already! Where does the time go? :)

We spent Memorial Day weekend up in Trego, WI at the Heartwood Resort and Conference Center. It was a very relaxing and peaceful time. We had a chance to fish, hike, play tennis and just spend some time with family and friends. The pollen was really bad and so were the ticks, but the weather was awesome! What a great way to kick off the summer...

We were able to spend part of Memorial Day in Rice Lake with Great Grandma D. It was her first time meeting Layla Belle and it was a wonderful time! We were even able to get a four generation picture. We love you Grandma D!

Hello Everyone!
Once again, another month has flown by! We are enjoying the spring, but are definitely not looking forward to the coming predicted snow today. :) Layla Belle is now 7 months old! She is a pure delight! She is now talking and laughing up a storm...I think she already realizes how cute and funny she really is. She is also sitting up on her own (mostly) and beginning to be mobile. She scoots across and blanket like and inch worm and rolls from place to place. LB will be crawling before we know it! She amazes her daddy and I daily on her new skills.

Ryan continues to stay busy at Thrivent. He still travels quite a bit, but is always happy to be home. I am looking forward to spring break...5 days away. It has been a long haul since Christmas without a break! Ahh, time to rest...we look forward to spending time with family for Easter and LB's first Easter! One more family member to update you on...Lucy. She still isn't always quite sure about LB, but loves to give her kisses. She lets LB pet her, but only for a little while. LB thinks that Lucy is awesome! Her little face lights up and she screams with delight whenever she sees Lucy. :)
